I’ve only ever tried slam poetry once, and I was a true poseur. Like, way, way out of my depth. I respect the hell out of it, but it’s a gear I just don’t have. But…
There is one rhyme I’m proud to say I dropped and it goes like this:
“Tripping through your daze/yeah/it’s a mystery. Looking for a match/like John Cusack in Serendipity!”
Now you know.
